Georgia had a pony

Georgia had a pony.

It ran very fast.

She would take it riding.

They would have a blast.

The pony’s name was Josephine,

she was very sweet.

Georgia fed her plenty,

and plenty did she eat.

Josephine got fat,

much too fat to ride.

Georgia’s mother got upset

and began to chide.

There was but one option: diet.

Josephine ate stuff that tasted awful bad:

salad, celery, kale and peppers

made her very sad.

But Josephine got thinner,

lost weight every day.

With plenty of exercise

she could finally eat hay.

Georgia had a pony.

It ran very fast.

She would take it riding.

They would have a blast.
